Construction production in September 2023
In September, construction production increased year-on-year and even accelerated its growth. Mainly new construction progressed. From the perspective of the types of construction, the work on engineering constructions continued in the growth.

Construction production in August rose year-on-year to the highest level this year. It was supported by a double-digit growth in new construction and a dynamic, more than a third, increase in works on engineering infrastructure.

Housing construction in the 2nd quarter 2023
The number of completed apartments in the 2nd quarter of 2023 maintained double-digit growth year-on-year and was almost half as high as before the pandemic. The number of issued building permits dropped by more than a quarter.

June´s year-on-year growth of total construction production was positively influ-enced by increasing new construction and by significant increase in civil engineering works. It was mainly negatively affected by the decline in building construction.
