In November 2019, industrial production continued to decrease, it dropped by 4,4 %, year-on-year.  The development according to the sections of SK NACE Rev. 2 was affected by a fall in manufacturing by 4,7 % and in electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply by 4,3 % and by a rise in mining and quarrying by 11,7 %.

In terms of the specific groupings of the industrial sectors, which contributed most to the total production decrease, the most significant decrease was recorded in manufacture of metal and fabricated metal products except machinery and equipment by 15,5 %, manufacture of rubber and plastic products and other non-metallic mineral products by 13,1 %, manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products by 19,7 %, manufacture of transport equipment by 2,5 % and manufacture of chemicals and chemical products by 34,3 %. The total production was affected mostly by a growth in manufacture of electrical equipment and equally in manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products by 21,5 %, manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c. by 3,7 %, mining and quarrying by 11,7 % and in manufacture of food, beverages and tobacco by 1,7 %.

Compared with November 2018, in terms of the main industrial groupings, production of durable consumer goods decreased by 18,6 %, production of intermediate goods by 8,3 %, production of non-durable consumer goods by 4,4 % and production of investment goods by 1 % and production relating to energy by 0,1 %.

After seasonal adjustment, industrial production decreased by 0,3 % in November 2019 compared with October 2019.

Since the beginning of the year, IP increased, year-on-year, by 1 %, of which in electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply by 6,4 %, in mining and quarrying by 4,8 % and in manufacturing by 0,2 %.

In terms of the specific groupings of the industrial sectors, which contributed most to the total production growth, the most significant increase was recorded in manufacture of electrical equipment by 21,4 %, manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c. by 13,3 %, manufacture of transport equipment by 2,8 %, electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply and equally in manufacture of food, beverages and tobacco products by 6,4 %. Production decreased mostly in manufacture of metal and fabricated metal products except machinery and equipment by 12,6 %, manufacture of rubber and plastic products and other non-metallic mineral products by 7,4 %, manufacture of textiles, apparel, leather and related products by 11,7 %, manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products by 8,3 %  and in manufacture of chemicals and chemical products by 9,5 %.

In terms of the main industrial groupings, production of investment goods increased by 5,6 %, production relating to energy by 3,3 % and production of non-durable consumer goods by 0,6 %.  Production of durable consumer goods dropped by 7,6 % and production of intermediate goods by 4 %.

Data are adjusted from the influence of the number of working days by program JDEMETRA+ and during processing of every month they are back-casted from the beginning of the time series. In November 2019, the number of working days was by one day lower compared with the corresponding period in 2018 and also from the beginning of the year.
