In November 2019, the total export of goods reached the value of EUR 7 309,1 million with a 4,3 % year-on-year decrease. The total import of goods decreased by 5,8 % to EUR 7 151,5 million. The foreign trade balance was in surplus in the value of EUR 157,6 million (by EUR 107,8 million higher than in the corresponding period in 2018).
In January-November 2019, compared with the corresponding period last year, the total export of goods increased by 1,6 % to EUR 74 616,1 million and the total import by 3,5 % to EUR 73 436,9 million. The foreign trade balance was in surplus in the amount of EUR 1 179,2 million (by EUR 1 347,4 million lower than in the corresponding period in 2018).
In January-November 2019, compared with the corresponding period in 2018, export to the EU Member States increased by 0,6 % and it represented 84,4 % of the total export. Import from the EU Member States represented 67,5 % of the total import and it grew by 5,1 %, year-on-year.
In January-November 2019, compared with the corresponding period in 2018, export to the non-EU Member States increased by 6,8 % and it represented 15,6 % of the total export. Import from the non-EU Member States represented 32,5 % of the total import and it increased by 0,4 %, year-on-year.
In the foreign trade of the SR, the most traded SITC section was Machinery and transport equipment with a share of 62,7 % of the total export and 50,6 % of the total import.
In November 2019, after
seasonal adjustment, the total export of goods reached the value of EUR 6 594,2 million with a year-on-year decrease by 1,5 %. The total import of goods decreased by 3 % to EUR 6 444,6 million. The foreign trade balance was in surplus in the amount of EUR 149,6 million (by EUR 95,9 million higher than in
November 2018).
